This is the famouns montalban mountains where according to local folklore, Bernardo Carpio, a giant resident, tried to hold both mountains to prevent them from colliding. As the years go by, local inhabitants share this story to their visitors as part of the local history. Aside from this interesting story, these mountains hold a lot of stories of fairies and earthbound spirits.

This is where our journey begun. It's was one of our highschool adventures when we decided to take the challenge of climbing one the mountains of montalban. Incidentally, one of our student teachers is a resident of the said province. After the end of the school year, our group composed of 12 guys joined him in going to his resident up rooted on one of the highlands. We spent the rest of the summer climbing trees, eating fruits,bathing in the river and telling unending stories of our childhood and classrooms adventures.

After a month of staying on my teacher's nipa hut on top of the mountain, we were not aware that it was the observance of the Holy week already. We were reminded when my teacher's churchmates went for a retreat on that same place. They've introduce us their teachings, practices and their beliefs. Though our stayed there was just for fun, we tried to mingle with the other members so as to observe and see what they were doing.

That was 15 years ago when we are still young and trying to establish what faith and belief should we hold on to. Now that were adults, only 3 of us remained and held on that faith we found in mountains of montalban.

If you could have any music group or musician play at a party, who would you hire?

I love hearing fast music played by a band during parties but this time I’d like to try a quartet specifically a piano quartet consisting of violin, viola, cello, and piano. Would it be so romantic hearing the melody of beautiful songs played by a quartet on your birthday with your family or special and best friends around? I've experience that when I attended one of my friends birthday party and I’d like to try it on my own birthday party so I would know what it feels like on such very special occasion.


Name three things to be happy about today.

I’m happy today because I arrived early at my office. No traffic and the weather is not that hot.

Secondly, I get to upload pictures from our weekend activity in my computer so that my other officemates could view and enjoy it.

Thirdly, it’s fun to do your work and finish the sooner than you expects it.


How do you release frustration?

Normally, I shout first and throw all the things that I can reach then I lay down and stare at the ceiling, after that I would sing, I would dance and watch all my favorite movies then I’ll forget my frustrations already.

Having a long week of work makes me so excited to go out of the house during weekend. This picture was taken at ecopark during one of my family's weekend gathering but this weekend was so special because we celebrated my nephew's 13th birthday. He is the one wearing shirt with blue and white stripes. We had so much fun biking, strolling and picture taking.We also enjoyed eating our lunch on top of banana leaves and sleeping on grass as we spent the day together. Weekend like this relaxes me and strenghten me as well for a challenging week ahead of me. Happy weekend everebody...
